Hello and welcome!

I am a PhD student at the University of California Berkeley. I work with Professor Marti Hearst on research relating to information visualization and text. My research primarily lies at the crossroads of language and visual data representation. I have a broad interest in data communication, specifically focusing on how text elemtns in visualization design can impact understandings of visualized data. I aim to equip designers with insights and recommendations that leverage language as an essential tool for effective data communication.

Previously, I received my B.A. in Psychology & Gender Studies from Northwestern University, advised by Steve Franconeri and Cindy Bearfield.

See more about my research projects in Research. A list of my presentations and publications can be found on my CV. you're interested in working with me, please email me directly.
